From the Mediterranean to the whole world: Love & Reggae
Shakti I&I was formed in Barcelona in 2007. Their main purpose: to play reggae music from the soul and with a message of positivity. His style ranges from New Roots to Ska and Rocksteady, with nods to Dancehall and Dub, and aromas of other styles such as Afrobeat, jazz or bossa.
The band has been active for nearly fifteen years, playing in the most emblematic underground venues in Barcelona (Guinarecords, Kan Paskual, Lukum Taka, Babel…), and filling the most famous venues with reggae vibes (Marula, Barts, Razzmattazz). They have also participated in renowned festivals in Spain (Rototom, Iboga, Bioritmo…).
To date they have released 3 albums and several singles, and are constantly working on new songs and planning future recordings (probably at this moment they are reviewing harmonies, lyrics and various arrangements).
